IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, Durgapur organized World Kidney Day on 17th march, 2025 with the theme “Are your kidneys, ok? Detect early, protect kidney health”. We have chosen the ICDS centre as it is in the centre of the village and people can easily gather here, the distance is easily reachable for all community people. The programme started at 9.30 pm and was attended by community people of Kantaberia rural community. The Chief Guest of the program was Mrs. Barnali Kundu, ICDS Anganwadi worker.
The program started with welcome speech by GNM 3RD year student and followed by lamp lighting by Mrs Barnali kundu, Madam Swarnalata Debbarma & Madam Tania Khandakar. Several activities were conducted followed by the inauguration such as:
- Health talk on
- Function of Kidney
- Common kidney Diseases
- Risk factor for kidney diseases
- Signs & Symptoms of Kidney Disease
- Preventive measures
- Kidney friendly diet
- Quiz competition among present community people and prize were distributed to the people whoever has answered
- BP checking
- Vote of thanks
Refreshment was given to community people and ICDS worker and finished the program by 10:45pm approx.
