World Population Day: IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences Advocates for a Sustainable Future
On July 11th, IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences—a premier destination for B.Sc Nursing in West Bengal—observed World Population Day with an impactful awareness programme. As one of the most respected private nursing colleges in West Bengal, the institute dedicated the day to educating the community on the critical issues of population growth, reproductive health, and the importance of sustainable development.
The celebration began with an informative session led by the faculty, emphasizing the global theme of "Unleashing the Power of Rights and Choices." Students enrolled in the B.Sc Nursing West Bengal curriculum actively participated, demonstrating their role as future healthcare leaders. The event featured a vibrant poster competition and a series of health talks where students creatively illustrated the link between population dynamics and maternal health, poverty, and environmental sustainability.
A key highlight was the community outreach initiative, where students conducted health education sessions focusing on family planning and the benefits of small family norms. These sessions aimed to empower the local population with knowledge about reproductive rights and the importance of spacing pregnancies to ensure better health outcomes for both mothers and children.
