World Hepatitis Day: IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences Leads Awareness Drive at SD Hospital

World Hepatitis Day was celebrated on July 28th at SD Hospital, OPD, with the theme “Let’s Break It Down.” The programme was organized with active participation from IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, one of the leading private nursing colleges in West Bengal, as part of its commitment to community health awareness.

The event commenced at 10:00 AM with the felicitation of the DNS, NS, and Medical Superintendent of SD Hospital, who were presented with a sapling symbolizing growth, health, and hope. A thought-provoking role play on Hepatitis B infection and prevention was performed, highlighting the modes of transmission and effective preventive measures.

A comprehensive health talk on Hepatitis B was delivered, providing valuable insights into symptoms, vaccination, early detection, and treatment. The programme concluded with a light refreshment session, allowing attendees to interact with healthcare professionals.
