School Health Programme

School Health Programme at Jemua: A Community Initiative by IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences

The School Health Programme was successfully conducted on 29th November 2025 at Champadanga Adivasipara F.P. School, Jemua, by the Department of Community Health Nursing and B.Sc. Nursing V Semester students of IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences. As one of the leading private nursing colleges in West Bengal, the institute actively organizes community outreach initiatives to promote preventive healthcare and awareness among young students.

The programme aimed to assess the health status of schoolchildren and spread awareness about personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, and safety practices. A comprehensive health assessment was carried out by one PGT and two intern doctors from IQCMCH, with dedicated support from faculty members and nursing students.

Interactive health education sessions, role plays, and live demonstrations were conducted to make learning engaging and effective. Educational materials and refreshments were distributed among the children to encourage participation. The School Health Programme concluded successfully at 1 PM, reflecting the strong community commitment of IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, a trusted name among private nursing colleges in West Bengal.
