First State Conference on “Nursing in the Digital Era: Embracing Technology & Innovation for a Healthier Tomorrow”

IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences proudly organized its First State Conference on “Nursing in the Digital Era: Embracing Technology & Innovation for a Healthier Tomorrow” on 26th July 2025 at the C.V. Raman Lecture Theatre, IQ City Medical College Auditorium, under the dynamic leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. B. Camala. The day began with registration at 8:00 am, followed by a prayer song by B.Sc. Nursing students, a welcome dance, and the inaugural ceremony led by Prof. Dr. B. Camala. Esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Sayan Mukherjee (WBUHS, Kolkata), Prof. Dr. Neerja Shastri (Principal, IQ City Medical College & Hospital), Mr. Gunadhar Maity (Vice Principal, IQ City Medical College Hospital), and Ms. Sarita Mohanty (Chief HR Officer, IQ City Foundation) graced the occasion. The academic sessions formed the highlight of the conference, offering rich insights into the digital transformation of nursing. Six sessions were conducted by eminent speakers:
  • Dr. Niloy Sarkar – Impact of Innovation in Healthcare
  • Dr. B. Camala – Influence of Technology in Transforming Nursing Education
  • Dr. Jaeny Kemp – Digital Leadership and Technology & Work-Life Balance in the Digital Era
  • Jamuna (AIIMS, Kalyani) – Artificial Intelligence & Nursing Informatics
  • Helen Mariadose (Dishari Institute, Malda) – Navigating the Digital Shift in Nursing: Barriers and Strategies
Alongside, a Scientific Paper Presentation showcased innovative research by delegates, with the best papers recognized and awarded, adding academic depth to the event. The event concluded with a Valedictory Session and Vote of Thanks. Certificates were distributed to participants, marking a proud moment of collective achievement. A pre- and post-test revealed significant knowledge growth - from 58% to 84% - affirming the conference’s academic success. “A landmark achievement for IQIONS, driving excellence and innovation in nursing education!”
