st December 2023, a dedicated effort to raise awareness about AIDS was orchestrated by IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, Durgapur, a proud member of the esteemed IQ City Foundation, conducting a series of impactful events to commemorate World AIDS Day.
- Nursing Students Lead the Way in an Awareness Rally
A sea of 200 enthusiastic first-year nursing students flooded the streets of Durgapur, armed with placards and a mission to disseminate information on AIDS. The rally, meticulously organized by IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, saw students, accompanied by vigilant teachers and security guards, weaving through the city, making sure their message reached every corner. Slogans echoed in unison, captivating the attention of passers-by, and contributing to the urgent need for AIDS awareness.
- Electrifying Flash Mobs in Key Locations
The vibrant energy of B Sc. second-year students lit up the Junction Mall, the district’s largest shopping haven, as they performed a spirited flash mob. With electrifying music and dance, the students not only entertained but also educated the mall-goers about the dangers of AIDS and the precautions necessary to combat the disease. Simultaneously, another flash mob unfolded within the IQ City Campus, targeting patients, visitors, and their relatives, ensuring a comprehensive reach for the crucial message.
- Illuminating Minds through a Live Web Conference
In a technologically advanced approach, IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences hosted live web conference on AIDS titled
“4th National Webinar- AIDS/HIV: A Global Burden: Facts and Myths – A futuristic view”. Renowned experts, including Ms.Krishnveni R from AIIMS Patna, Dr.Sayantan Banerjee from AIIMS Kalyani, and Mr. Binu Xavier, Associate Professor. IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences, graced the virtual stage, providing students with a deeper understanding of various aspects related to AIDS.This virtual gathering aimed to amplify awareness and knowledge about the disease, ensuring a broader reach and impact among the student community.
