The Midwifery/Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing Department is one of the core academic and clinical departments in a nursing college. It helps the nursing students to acquire knowledge and skill in rendering respectful maternal care to normal and high risk woman during antenatal, intranatal and postnatal periods in hospital and community settings.It would also help students to gain knowledge, attitude and skills in caring for women with gynaecological disorders. This department provides specialized training to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is usually taught from the 6th semester onwards in the undergraduate (M Sc, B.Sc Nursing, GNM) programs.
