Faculty Development Committee

Faculty Members were the pillars of any Educational Institution and their periodical up gradation of knowledge and skill is essential for quality education and in turn leads to effective outcome. Faculty development has its goal and continued renewal and growth of the faculty in all facets of their professional lives. Faculty development committee is the base for providing each faculty with a sense of professionalism, excellence, motivation. As a part of welfare measures, IQ City Institute of Nursing Sciences developed this faculty development Committee which dedicated to provide a platform of Professional enrichment.

Aims

To build a ladder for Innovation, Confidence building, leadership skills with a view to strengthening the faculty profile to compete with the world class excellence in Nursing Education.

Objectives

  • To enhance the quality of Health professional teachers with in-service faculty development training for their role as teachers.
  • To sensitize teachers about new concepts in teaching and assessment methods.
  • Develop conducive environment for acquisition of knowledge and clinical skills required for performing the role of competent and effective teacher, administrator, researcher and mentor.
  • To create & provide opportunities to faculty to represent institute at various academic & non-academic platforms.
  • To motivate teachers for educational research and publications by developing research culture in university.
  • To strengthen personal interaction through effective communication skill.
  • FDC shall promote the faculties of each constituent unit to participate in various seminars, conferences, work shop, fellowships, educational programmes etc conducted in the university and outside the university.

Functions

  • Hold meetings every 3 months once
  • Documentation of faculty participation in academic activities.
  • Recording the faculty Recognitions
  • Analysis of further demands.
